One of the best things about using a Mac is that there are some fantastic writing apps with a lot of thought and love gone into them available for just a few dollars. I recognise a couple of apps on this list of freebies, including Bean, Open Office and of course, Google Documents.
Naturally, the thing to remember is that you only really need a keyboard and a screen.
