Write for Your Life - a really good site about writing

About

Write for Your Life serves up food for thought and practical advice to writers of all shapes and sizes: novelists, bloggers, poets and journalists. Anyone who works with words.

You’ll find here written articles, a regular podcast and weekly, video-based editorials. We’re not here to tell you how to write. But we do want to get you thinking about what you do and how you do it.

Everyone has their own approach to writing, but it’s good to keep an open mind. We can learn from one another and get better. That’s what Write for Your Life is all about. We’re here to keep your juices flowing.

If that sound unpleasant but strangely appealing, you can subscribe via RSS or get free email updates sent straight to your inbox.

Who goes there?

My name is Iain Broome and I edit Write for Your Life. My first novel, A is for Angelica, is represented by Tibor Jones Associates. I’m also a professional copywriter at The Workshop, one of the UK’s leading design, communications and learning agencies.

Over the years I’ve edited literary magazines and co-founded Words Aloud, a successful monthly open-mic event for creative writing. I have a degree in English and an MA in Writing.

I set up Write for Your Life because I know that being a writer can be pretty hard work. But it’s also incredibly rewarding. This site is a place for you to hear and learn from people who go through the same process as you. Every day.

We are writers. And we’re in this together.
