Ever Feel Like a Failure?

As we’re talking about fear and failure this week, here’s Rachelle Gardner:

I don’t sell every project I take on. I get rejection letters from editors every day. I can’t always meet everyone’s needs as quickly as I want to. I’ve taken on clients that weren’t a good fit and then lost those clients. I’ve made decisions I later realized were the wrong ones.

Rachelle goes on to make lots of great points about fear, failure and how to handle both. It’s also marvellous, as a writer, to know that literary agents (and other people in publishing) have the same worries and strife as we do.
