Faber to publish Jarvis Cocker's lyrics
Wonderful news for lots of reasons:
Faber bought world rights to publish the book, which will be released in October 2011. It takes its title from lyrics which Cocker said crop up an “embarrassing” amount of times in his songs.
Those reasons. Jarvis Cocker is from Sheffield, where I live. Jarvis Cocker is in the band Pulp, who I like very much. Jarvis Cocker’s book deal with Faber was brokered by Tibor Jones & Associates, who also represent my novel. Treble trouble.
