Native and the Name
Something non-writerly for your Friday afternoon.
Years of meddling with WordPress means I often set up websites for friends and family and what have you. Last night saw the launch of a new site I’ve installed, hosted and tweaked for my friend Joe and his excellent band, Native and the Name.
It’s worth noting that, though a pal he might be, Joe is actually a rather talented chap. Last year, the band’s song, Plain Song, was chosen by Nick Park (of Wallace and Gromit fame) as one of his desert island discs. And Park is directing and editing the video for that song at the moment.
Native and the Name have their debut album out very soon. I’ve heard it. It’s excellent. Check out their website and don’t be surprised if you hear them on your radio waves in the future.
