Notiquette
Sam Bain is one half of the writing duo behind the utterly brilliant BBC comedy, Peep Show. In this blog post, he provides a fantastic overview of the feedback process for writers.
He refers to notiquette and uses the word notes (as in notes in the margin), but everything here relates to feedback in general. It’s hard to pick out a quote from so much gold, but here goes:
Above all, realize the value of a good note-giver. If you can find a note-giver you can trust, whose judgement you respect, whose sense of humour you share, grab hold of them and never let them go.
Honestly, this a must-read from someone who knows exactly what they’re talking about. Get over there now and read the whole thing.
