Reveal and read: the SVK comic book
This looks and sounds very impressive – genuine innovation:
An experimental publication, SVK comprises the SVK object and a comic book … Litho printed on 115gsm silk paper in tones of black and blue, SVK uses a third ink invisible without the SVK object. The object is a UV light source which unlocks hidden layers woven throughout the comic book. Reading SVK becomes a unique and strange experience as you see the story unfold through the eyes of Thomas Woodwind.
I think that there are two sides to the whole techno-revolution. There is the rise and popularity of e-books in general, underpinned by quality hardware, primarily the Kindle and iPad. Then there is this seam of innovation where individuals and companies are trying to create something new and exciting, whether it’s the recently launched app of T.S. Eliot’s The Wasteland or something like the Unbound project.
The future is going to be different, certainly. But it should, on the whole, once we’ve all found our feet, be marvellous.
