Reasons to buy Volume #01

There are hundred of brilliant reasons that you should buy this audiobook, but I’ve picked out some particularly special ones:

  • To get you thinking about your writing and how you go about it.
  • To give to a special friend who is just starting out with their writing.
  • To give to a special friend who is totally experienced with their writing.
  • To prompt discussion in writing classes, workshops or groups.
  • To support an independent writer/blogger and his lovely website.

If you are still undecided and would like some more reasons to purchase, just get in touch and I shall provide an extended list!

Tracklisting

Here is the full list of tracks in this audiobook. The links will take you off to the original article on Write for Your Life (apart from Ploughing, see below).

  2. 10 things to write on in an emergency!
  3. Short-term targets, long-term goals
  4. How to write about your life (without upsetting friends and family)
  5. How to find your perfect writing partner
  6. Ignore anyone who tells you to write, write, write!
  7. Ploughing
  8. Author’s commentary

Exclusive! Bonus! Extra content!

I said up there that these articles have previously appeared on Write for Your Life, but that’s not the case with the last track, Ploughing. I wrote Ploughing for the Read & Trust newsletter, which means it’s never appeared anywhere else before.

Ploughing is an article – and now a spoken word thingy – about how I found a way to write when my auntie was dying from a brain tumour last year. It was a funny old time, and I’m dead pleased to include the piece here as exclusive content. I hope you like it.

Author’s commentary

Finally, I decided to record 20 minutes of commentary, where I talk in more detail about each track on Volume #01. It’s not a rigid, scripted thing, more me thinking back a couple of years and doing a little vocal freestylin’.

The idea is to give you more information about what I was thinking with the original article and to look at whether my opinions have changed. I also talk about Write for Your Life in general, and what each post meant to the site (and me) at the time.

That’s it! Get purchasing. Tell your friends.
